Shades is a collection of lamps resulting from an investigation into the material properties of porcelain. The unique patterns were created through placing the casted shades into colour baths. The dyeing process illustrates the materials porosity before firing. As lamp shades, the varying nuances come to life through the glow of the light source – in a lively interplay with the material’s translucence.
